Paper Quilling

Hello,

I have just dicovered the beautiful art of paper quilling. Before you get started know that if you are buying the paper it can get expensive! However, you can make your own paper or take the old paper shreder and use that paper! The first things you need are paper and a coiling tool (you can get these at your local craft store). After this pratice making a tight coil (you just coil tightly). After you've done that you're ready to begin :-D! To make a loose coil you just let your coil unwind! After that you just shape and pinch it into differnt shapes! Don't forget to glue it closed! Now just glue things together and PRESTO, you have your very own work of art!

Patterns:

Flower:

Make a loose coil and shape into a tear drop (make 5 or 6) then make a tight coil and glue the tear drops around them!

Tips:

You can get a paper crimper and crimp your paper for a cool affect! ==== Thanks to The New Paper Quilling by Molly Smith Christensen ====;-)

She also has free patterns on the website www.mollysmith.com

Have fun quilling!
