CRAFT PROJECT
Crochet Butterfly
Use these by themselves with or without a magnet or decorate other projects with them.
Materials
- scrap yarn
- size "G" crochet hook
- small magnet (optional)
Instructions
Chain 8. Join.
Row 1: ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc (8 dc); 8 spaces of chain 3; join to top of the first ch 3.
Row 2: sl st to 1st chain; 3 space ch 3 and 2 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc in ch 3 space (continue 3 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc in each ch 3 space; join to top of first ch 3.
Row 3: sl st to first ch 3 space and make 10 dc in space, make 1 sc in between the 6 dc of previous row; 10 dc in next space. Join and fasten off.
Fold butterfly in half and sew together.
Antenna: Double a length of constrasting color yarn and create a chain. Fasten off. Fold in half and then attach it to the "head" of the butterfly.
