Assembly

Flower Version

Create a string of 10 flowers. Arrange them on the right side of one of the covers, "framing" the outside edge and sew them in place...

Fly Version

Referring to the fly swatter template, attach the fly parts to the right side of one cover in the following order: head (wrong side up), body (wrong side up), wings, legs. Glue wiggly eyes in place.

Both Versions

With right sides out and the beginning chain edges at the top, "sew" the two covers together...

Attach yarn to right-hand bottom corner. Ch 1, sc the two covers together all along the side, evenly spacing the stitches. At top right-hand corner, place 3 sc. Sc along top to "B". Fasten off. Attach yarn at A and continue to sc across the remaining top edge. 3 sc in corner, sc down along second side. End at bottom corner and fasten off. Weave in loose ends.

Optional: If you use different colors for the front and back covers, you can finish off the top and bottom opening of the front cover with matching yarn (like the fly version).
