How To Create New Pages

There are two methods of creating new pages…

Method 1

Go to a page with a similar topic and then click Edit this page. Within the editing box, type 2 opening brackets, the name of the new page you want to create, and then 2 closing brackets.

This is how it should look…

[[name of new page]]

When you're done, click Preview. You'll see that the new page name you just typed is now a hyperlink. If you're satisfied with your edit, go ahead and click Save.

When the page comes up, click on that new page link. Then, click on Create This Page. Now just add whatever content you would like.

TIP - Whenever you create a new page,
it's always a good idea to put a heading
right at the very top. To do this, click
on the "H1" button of the editor. Then
insert the name of the page or a nice
descriptive variation. For example, the
actual name of this particular page is
//create new pages// but the heading is
called "How To Create New Pages".

Method 2

Conduct a search using the words you would like to name the new page. For example: crochet doll dress

When the search result comes up, you'll have the option of creating a new page with that precise name (the words you used to conduct the search). Just click on Create This Page. When the editor appears, insert a heading (H1) and some content, and then click Save.

NOTE - Creating a page this way will only
add this new page to the Wiki Page Index.
If you want your new page linked from an
existing page, you'll need to "edit" a
subject-related page and then add your
link to that content. The link would look
like this: [[new page name]]
