Welcome to the Free Craft Unlimited Wiki. If you're wondering what is a wiki, it's simply a group of pages that viewers can directly edit. In this case, pages dedicated to all things related to arts and crafts.
That includes crochet, knitting, craft patterns, craft projects… anything and everything you would like to see more information about. After all…
This is YOUR part of the craft website, one that you can develop however you like. Edit any of the existing craft pages or create new pages. Whatever you like!
NOTE: There are some pages you will
not be able to edit. For the most part,
they are pages that contain specific
information about using this wiki.
On the left, you'll see several Craft Wiki Navigation links…
Wiki Sitemap - Clicking on this will lead you to a list of all the pages that currently exist within this wiki.
Recent Changes - You'll be able to see any and all of the changes or additions that have recently occurred throughout the entire wiki. That way, you can easily check out any new content or pages that have taken place since your last visit!
Edit This Page - When displayed, it allows you to edit whatever page you happen to be on (depending on what you're doing and the status of the page, this same button can display other names like Show Page, Create This Page, and Page Source).
If you'd like to practice your editing skills, we've set up a page called the practice area just for that purpose.
Old Revisions - This will show you the revisions that have been made for whatever page you're on. It also allows you to restore a page to it's previous condition (for example, if you change a page and then decide to go back to a version prior to your edit).
Quick Links - Also included are several quick links to the most popular and frequently visited areas such as news and updates, the practice editing area, how to get started, and introduction.
Search - Using this form will allow you to conduct searches within the wiki. You can also use it to create new pages.
Member Login - If you're a registered member, you can log in using this link. For more information, see Registered Members below.)
Main Website - Any of these links will take you out of the wiki and into the main area of the Free Craft Unlimited website.
At the top of this center column you'll see the word GO. Links to pages that you've visited will be added and organized according to when you visit them - from first to last (up to 10 pages).
At the present time, everyone is allowed to edit pages… so being a registered member of this wiki is totally optional.
Benefits of being a registered member…
1. If you log in before performing a page edit, your username will be displayed in the Last modified line at the bottom of the page.
2. You can ask to be notified when a change takes place on a particular page. When you're logged in, a Get Changes button will appear in the lefthand column. Clicking on it will automatically add your email address to that specific notification list.
