Embroidered Crochet Bookmark
The great thing about this crochet bookmark is the fact that you can add whatever embroidered design you want. That means you can make lots of them and they'll all be different and unique.
- crochet thread - size 10
- crochet hook - size 2
- embroidery floss (colors depend on design you choose)
Row 1 - Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2 - Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Repeat Row 2 for 5-1/2 inches.
Next Row - Sc in each sc to within 2 sc from end of row. Sk next sc, sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn. Repeat this row until 1 sc remains. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Fringe - In each sc along the 1st row insert 3 strands of thread about 3 inches long. Double the strands, pull through with the crochet hook, slip through loop, and then pull snug. Trim all fringe ends evenly.
If you want to embroider the same design shown here, simply print and follow the flower template.
Use a stem stitch for the stem of the flower, a satin stitch for the leaves, petals, and center of the flower, and a running stitch to outline the petals. If you don't know embroidery, you can refer to the embroidery stitch instructions.
